Domaine de Verquière is a four-generation family estate in Sablet, at the foot of the Dentelles de Montmirail in the Southern Rhône. Founded in 1928 and now owned by Thibaut Chamfort, it is managed by Thibaut and his brother Romain. The vineyards are certified organic (FR BIO 10) and have been cultivated organically since 2014, across Sablet, Plan de Dieu, Rasteau and Vacqueyras. Diverse soils include clay-limestone, stony terraces, red pebbles, yellow sandstone, sand and red clay. Thibaut oversees both vineyard work and winemaking, with hand-picked, sorted and fully destemmed grapes. The domaine produces authentic, dry red Rasteau and other Côtes-du-Rhône wines from Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault and Mourvèdre.
