Didier Fornerol

Domaine Didier Fornerol is a family-run estate in Corgoloin in Burgundy’s Côte de Nuits. Didier Fornerol took over the family domaine in 1999 and has remained closely involved in both vineyard work and winemaking, even after retiring following the 2024 vintage, alongside retired cellar master Jean-Pierre de Smet. The estate follows organic or organic-style, low-intervention farming, with no herbicides since 1999, soil work instead of chemicals, minimal synthetic treatments, and low yields. Older vines grow on limestone-based soils with alluvial layers. In the cellar, the approach emphasizes whole-cluster fermentation, restrained use of new oak, and wines bottled without fining or filtration.
