Carpineto

Italy

Founded in 1967 in Greve in Chianti by Giovanni Carlo Sacchet and Antonio Mario Zaccheo, Carpineto remains family-owned and is now led by the Sacchet and Zaccheo families, with Caterina Sacchet as chief winemaker. Based in Tuscany and farming across several historic zones, the estate focuses mainly on red wines, especially key Tuscan DOCG appellations, with most wines aged three years or more before release. Its approach combines advanced viticultural and cellar techniques with a strong connection to place, including controlled malolactic fermentation, indigenous yeasts, cold and carbonic macerations, and barrel ageing. Sustainability is central, with precision agriculture, renewable energy, VIVA participation, and ISO 14001-certified environmental management. Carpineto also highlights its long agricultural heritage through a museum at its Montepulciano estate.
