Cantina della Volta

Italy

Cantina della Volta is a family-run winery in Bomporto, Modena, rooted in the Bellei family’s winemaking tradition since 1920 and now led by fourth-generation winemaker Christian Bellei. The estate focuses on artisanal Metodo Classico sparkling wines, including pioneering Lambrusco di Sorbara, alongside Chardonnay and Pinot Nero expressions. Vineyards are sustainably farmed and organically certified to EU and US standards since 2017, with grapes harvested by hand in small crates. All sparkling wines undergo secondary fermentation in bottle rather than autoclave, with careful control throughout the production process. The wines are known for their elegance, vibrancy, savoury character and minerality, reflecting both the family’s long experience and Christian Bellei’s commitment to distinctive Emilian sparkling wines.
