Ulibarri Artzaiak is a family-owned estate in the Basque Country, owned and run by brothers Iker and Asier Ulibarri. Describing themselves as shepherds as well as winemakers, they also raise sheep and make cheese on the property. The estate farms certified organic Hondarrabi Zuri, including some vines over 40 years old, and uses biodynamic methods with sheep grazing and manure composting integrated into vineyard work. Noted as one of the only organic-certified producers in Bizkaiko D.O., Ulibarri Artzaiak stands out for its hands-on, environmentally focused approach and close connection between farming, animals, and winemaking.
