Sparkling Shiraz

The Chook is part of the Wirra-Wirra estate in McLaren Vale, South Australia, a property revived by Greg Trott in the 1960s and now overseen by Anton Groffen, who leads both winemaking and viticulture. Its vineyards span six adjacent blocks, including the Chook Block, with additional grapes sourced from McLaren Vale and the Adelaide Hills and a further holding at Ashton Hills. The property has been NASAA-certified biodynamic since 2013 and has belonged to Sustainable Winegrowing Australia since 2011, reflecting a long-standing commitment to sustainable farming.
