Fattoria Selvapiana

Italy

Fattoria Selvapiana is a historic, family-owned estate in the Chianti Rufina subzone of Tuscany, in the Giuntini family since 1827. The 250-hectare property includes 58 hectares of organically certified vineyards, managed with a 'close to nature' philosophy using native yeasts and reduced sulfites. Run by siblings Federico and Silvia Giuntini, with winemaking led by Federico and longtime consultant Franco Bernabei, the estate is renowned for its single-vineyard wines, particularly Vigneto Bucerchiale, first produced in 1979. Situated at the foothills of the Apennines, the cooler climate yields Sangiovese with notable freshness and aging potential.
