Barr-Eden Estate

Australia

Barr-Eden Estate is a boutique vineyard in South Australia, with vines planted to Shiraz, Grenache and Mourvèdre. The estate is owned by four custodians—Tim Hower, Joel Matschoss, Pierre-Henri Morel and Michael Twelftree—following earlier ownership by the Pohlner family and Bob McLean. Winemaking is handled by Richard Langford and Brooke Edson of Two Hands Wines. Its Avenue to Gold Shiraz is made in modest quantities, reflecting the estate’s small-scale character. No sustainability certifications are reported.
