Cantina Fratelli Carafoli

Italy

Founded in 1919 in Ravarino, Modena, Cantina Fratelli Carafoli remains a family-owned winery run by third-generation brothers Carlo, Paolo and Mario. The estate controls vineyards in Sorbara, where loose, permeable soils provide excellent drainage, and also works with sustainably farmed contracted vineyards. Its viticulture is certified organic and biodynamic. The winery focuses on Lambrusco di Sorbara and Lambrusco di Modena, combining modern techniques with restored historic equipment and using the Charmat method for its sparkling wines. The Carafoli family’s approach emphasizes the character of Modena and sustainable vineyard practices.
