ColleMassari

Italy

Family-run ColleMassari was founded in 1998 by Claudio Tipa, his wife Maria and sister Maria Iris Bertarelli in Montecucco, Tuscany. The estate follows an integrated agricultural model, with organically certified vineyards, olive groves and other crops, alongside agritourism and hospitality. Its gravity-flow winery, passive ventilation, rainwater collection and photovoltaic energy reflect a low-impact approach. Winemaking is guided by the rhythm of nature, with native varieties and Sangiovese at the centre; important reds undergo manual punch-downs and long macerations, while other wines follow dedicated fermentation and ageing paths. The estate also preserves old Sangiovese vineyards and supports genetic research, biodiversity and the Montecucco Organic District.
