Château Petit-Village

France

Château Petit-Village is a Pomerol estate in the heart of Bordeaux, set on the higher part of the appellation’s clay-and-gravel plateau with southwest exposure. Its single-block vineyard, shaped like a triangle, is planted parcel by parcel to match the soils, with Merlot dominant alongside Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. The property combines traditional vineyard work and manual harvesting with a precise, terroir-focused approach, informed by detailed soil studies and parcel selection. Certified organic and HVE, it uses cover crops, careful canopy management, biocontrol methods, and horse ploughing for older vines. The wines are described as fresh, balanced, and fruit-driven, with élevage in French oak and a strong emphasis on faithful expression of Pomerol terroir.
