Kathryn Kennedy is a family-run boutique estate in California, founded by Kathryn Kennedy and now led by her son Marty Mathis, who has served as winemaker since 1981, alongside early advisor Bill Anderson. The winery farms less than one acre of its original vineyard and produces extremely limited quantities, including its flagship Estate Cabernet Sauvignon. Certified organic since 2007 by CCOF and USDA NOP, it uses hand-grown vines, composting, cover crops, biodiversity plantings, bird boxes, biodiesel tractors, and recycled packaging. Its wines reflect a small-scale, hands-on approach rooted in long-term family stewardship.
