Castello Bonomi

Italy

Castello Bonomi is a family-run Franciacorta estate in Coccaglio, on the southern slopes of Monte Orfano in Lombardy. Founded in 1985 and named for its late-19th-century château, it farms calcareous, mineral-rich vineyards divided into 39 parcels and six crus, which are harvested and vinified separately. Certified organic farming, Reasoned Viticulture, and participation in ItaCa and BioPass projects reflect a commitment to reducing environmental impact and protecting biodiversity. Guided by the Paladin family since 2008, with Chef de Cave Luigi Bersini and consultant Leonardo Valenti, the estate focuses on meticulous selection, low yields, and careful bottle ageing. Its Franciacorta range is defined by freshness, elegant acidity, structure, and longevity, including traditional, Satèn, Rosé, and Riserva wines. Castello Bonomi has also supported the recovery and use of Erbamat, an indigenous Brescian variety.
