Weingut Gunderloch

Germany

Weingut Gunderloch is a six-generation family estate in Rheinhessen, founded in 1890. It owns about 28–31 hectares, with a near-monopole on the historic Rothenberg grand cru vineyard on the red Roter Hang slopes. The estate is led by Johannes Hasselbach, who continues the family’s commitment to organic viticulture, vegan certification, and minimal-intervention winemaking using native yeasts and spontaneous fermentation. Yields are kept low, and the focus is on expressive, mineral-driven Rieslings.
