Quinta Dona Matilde

Portugal

Quinta Dona Matilde is a family-owned estate in the Douro, reacquired by the Barros family in 2006 after originally forming part of Barros & Almeida. Its vineyards are all classified “A” for Port production, with vines ranging from 20 to 90 years old. Alongside the vineyards, the estate preserves extensive natural vegetation, olive groves and wildlife habitats, supporting biodiversity, although no formal sustainability certifications are listed. The estate is led by Manuel Ângelo Barros and his son Filipe Barros, with winemaking by enologist João Pissarra.
