Protea Wines is a boutique-scale producer in South Africa’s Western Cape, part of the Rupert family wine portfolio alongside Anthonij Rupert, Cape of Good Hope, L’Ormarins, Jean Roi, Terra del Capo and Rupert Wines. Its environmental focus includes up-cycling, reusable bottle designs, Amorim Helix twist-corks and glass-recycling initiatives, although no formal organic or biodynamic certification is noted. Wines are sold directly from the farm through cellar-door pricing and a wine club.
