Mohua is a family-run New Zealand winery founded in 2009 by two generations of the McLachlan family and based in Marlborough. Led by Lindsay McLachlan, it works with three vineyards in the Wairau Valley and makes Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough alongside Pinot Noir from Central Otago. Grapes are hand-harvested, and the estate is certified by Sustainable Winegrowing New Zealand, with a focus on land health and sustainable farming. Mohua also supports conservation of the endangered Mohua bird in partnership with the Department of Conservation. The wines reflect a hands-on, environmentally conscious approach, with Sauvignon Blanc shaped by Marlborough’s sunny conditions and natural acidity.
