Francesco Brigatti

Italy

Francesco Brigatti is a third-generation family winery in Suno, Alto Piemonte, founded in 1920 and now owned and managed by Francesco Brigatti, an agronomist and winemaker. The estate farms six hectares across the MötZiflon, Mötfrei and Campazzi hills, focusing on Nebbiolo, Vespolina and Uva Rara. Integrated pest management is used, with mechanical weed control and no chemical products; grapes are harvested by hand. Winemaking combines long Nebbiolo macerations in concrete vats with red-wine aging in an underground cellar using Slavonian and French oak. The wines reflect the distinct exposures and clay, silty-sandy and sandy soils of the three sites.
