Château La Croix de Gay

France

Château Vray Croix de Gay is a small Pomerol estate in Bordeaux. Formerly linked to the Goldschmidt family, the property changed ownership from 2014 onward, with Artemis taking full control in 2017 and Suravenir Insurance joining in 2020; François Pinault retains a minority stake. The vineyard sits on classic Pomerol soils of gravel, clay, and iron oxides, and the estate is certified HVE. It moved toward biodynamic viticulture, with the 2018 vintage slated as its first certified biodynamic harvest. Earlier consulting input included Stéphane Derenoncourt and Dr. Alain Raynaud. The wines are shaped by this distinctive terroir and a quality-focused approach in the cellar.
