Producer

Olivier Bernstein

France

Olivier Bernstein is a founder-owned micro-négociant in Burgundy, working from a historic cellar in Beaune and focusing on Grand Cru and Premier Cru sites in the Côte de Nuits. The domaine combines a small number of owned parcels, including Mazis-Chambertin and Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Les Champeaux, with grapes or rented plots from growers. Farming emphasizes low yields, no herbicides, organic or bio products where possible, and adaptive pruning. In the cellar, Bernstein uses a destemming approach designed to preserve whole clusters, with whole-cluster fermentation used in some vintages. Winemaking is led by Olivier Bernstein, with Richard Séguin overseeing viticulture.
