Weingut Fritz Haag is a historic, family-owned estate in Brauneberg, Mosel, with documented roots back to 1605. For over four centuries, ownership has remained within the Haag family; today, Geisenheim-trained oenologist Oliver Haag and his wife Jessica lead the winery. They farm 19.5 hectares of Riesling on steep, up to 80% slopes of Devonian slate in top VDP Grosse Lage sites like Brauneberger Juffer and Juffer Sonnenuhr. The estate follows organic practices—hand-harvesting, no petrochemicals—and emphasizes year-round vineyard care (“365 days in the vineyard”). Production is artisanal, around 66,000 bottles annually, focusing on pure, terroir-driven Rieslings made in stainless steel, with a range from dry to noble-sweet Prädikat wines renowned for their aging potential.
