Finca Villacreces

Spain

Finca Villacreces is a family-owned estate in the heart of Ribera del Duero’s Golden Mile, set on a meander of the Duero among vineyards and a bicentennial pine forest. Owned by the Antón family since 2003, the property was revitalised through vineyard restoration and replanting. The estate has a long history linked to Pedro de Villacreces in 1350. Its 15 vineyard plots are planted mainly to Tempranillo, with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, on poor, contrasting soils ranging from sandy to stony alluvial ground. Farming is certified organic by CECyL and supported by sustainable practices including reduced irrigation, canopy management, deep-root development, natural treatments, and biodiversity protection. The focus is on low yields and wines that express the estate’s distinctive soils, microclimate, and setting.
