Domaine de la Cadette is a family-owned estate in Vézelay, Burgundy, founded in 1987 by Jean and Catherine Montanet and now managed by their son Valentin. The Montanet family remains closely involved in both vineyard work and winemaking. The domaine has farmed organically since 1999 and was certified organic in 2002, with biodynamic practices also noted. Vineyards are rooted largely in clay and limestone soils, with some parcels on marl and granite. Grapes are hand-harvested, and the wines are made in a minimal-intervention style without added yeast or chaptalisation and with limited sulfites. The estate is also noted as vegan-friendly.
