Domaine Gadais Père & Fils

France

Domaine Gadais Père & Fils is a five‑generation family estate in Saint‑Fiacre, Loire Valley, producing Muscadet Sèvre et Maine exclusively from Melon de Bourgogne. Over 50 ha are spread across about 100 parcels on diverse metamorphic soils (limestone, amphibolite, schist, orthogneiss, mica schist) with sandy drainage, and vines average 40‑50 years, some planted in 1929. The estate practices nature‑focused, low‑yield, organic‑leaning viticulture, protecting soil microbial life and holding HVE 3 certification. Winemaking is gravity‑fed in a semi‑underground cellar; wines are aged sur‑lie 6‑32 months with minimal intervention. Annual output ranges from 50 000 to 150 000 bottles, with cuvées of 10‑18 000 bottles each, led by Christophe and Pierre‑Henri Gadais.
