José Pariente

Spain

José Pariente is a family-owned winery in La Seca, Valladolid, in Rueda DO, founded in 1998 by Victoria Pariente and now led by the second generation, Martina and Ignacio Prieto Pariente. The estate is centered on Verdejo, with a long focus on showing the variety’s capacity for aging while expressing the identity of each site through soil study and vineyard zoning. Vineyards include old plantings on stony, sandy and limestone soils, notably the organic Finca Las Comas, planted in 1910 with bush vines. The winery practices organic viticulture and hand harvesting, and combines careful élevage with an active sustainability program covering water use, biodiversity, circularity and landscape regeneration.
