Wiston Estate

United Kingdom

Wiston Estate is a long-established, family-owned estate in England, managed by the Goring family since 1743. Its vineyard is planted on chalk soils and is sustainably farmed without irrigation or herbicides, using low-input methods. The estate focuses on English sparkling wine, made with a traditional Coquard press and a minimal-intervention approach intended to preserve vineyard character. Winemaking is led by Dermot Sugrue. Alongside the vines, Wiston remains a working rural estate with turkey farming, cattle, sheep, arable land, and woodland, while Wiston House is leased to the Foreign Office.
