Schödl Family

Austria

Schödl Family is a third-generation, family-owned estate in Loidesthal, Weinviertel, run by siblings Matthias, Leonhard and Viktoria Schödl, who also make the wines. The vineyards have been farmed biodynamically since 2014 and have been certified organic since 2019. Their sustainable approach includes cover crops, natural fertilisation, sheep for weed control, bees and beneficial insects, no irrigation, hand-harvesting and low-drift tunnel spraying. These practices reflect a low-intervention, artisanal philosophy focused on careful vineyard work and responsible farming.
