Champagne Gaucher is a family-run producer in Arconville, in the Côte des Bar of Champagne’s Aube region. Managed by the Gaucher family, the estate works vineyards around Arconville, Urville and Ailleville, using both owned and rented parcels planted to Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Vineyard work follows a detailed seasonal programme, and grapes are hand-harvested and selected before immediate pressing. Traditional bottle fermentation, remuage and disgorgement are carried out at the winery, with wines aged in the cellar for at least 15 months. The range includes Brut and Demi-sec styles, distinguished by dosage, and the house’s Réserve Brut has received recognition.
