Rain is a Marlborough brand produced by Coldwell Soper Limited, a joint venture between Coldwell-Soper and T. Edward. Its grapes come from sustainably managed, Sustainable Winegrowing New Zealand-certified vineyards in the Wairau Valley. The wines are made with a quality-over-quantity focus, including meticulous fruit selection, minimal intervention, cold fermentation, and extended lees contact. This approach aims to express Marlborough’s diurnal temperature variation and tropical flavor profile, while strict water-management and low-pesticide practices reflect the brand’s commitment to responsible vineyard management. Al Soper is associated with the project.
