WINE BY S. PRATSCH

Austria

WINE BY S. PRATSCH is a family-owned estate in Hohenruppersdorf, Niederösterreich, formed through the merger of two long-standing wine-growing families and now run by Stefan Pratsch. Organic viticulture has been practiced since 1990, with certified organic status and a focus on healthy soils, biodiversity, and sustainable farming. Pratsch’s wines center on Grüner Veltliner alongside other white varieties, rosé, and reds, including fruit from six distinct vineyard sites. In the cellar, spontaneous fermentation with vineyard-derived yeast, extended lees contact, minimal sulfur, and vegan fining with pea and potato products reflect a low-intervention approach. Modern temperature-controlled facilities support the production of organic and natural wines, which have found particular popularity in the USA and Scandinavia.
