Domaine Talmard

France

Talmard is a family-owned estate in Uchizy, southern Burgundy, with roots in local viticulture dating back to the 17th century. Since 1997, Mallory and Benjamin Talmard have carried the family venture forward, focused on quality Chardonnay from vineyards around Uchizy, Montbellet, Chardonnay, Tournus and Lugny. The domaine farms limestone-based soils with responsible viticulture, including grass cover, soil work, limited phytosanitary treatments and reasoned pesticide use. In the cellar, fermentations are carried out with natural yeasts, and the wines include an unoaked Mâcon-Chardonnay. The range also highlights village-specific terroirs through climats such as Mâcon-Montbellet “La Bergerie” and Mâcon-Lugny “Les Genièvres”.
