Selvagrossa is a small family estate founded in 2002 by brothers Alessandro and Alberto Taddei on their grandfather’s property in the hills near Pesaro, overlooking Italy’s Adriatic coast. Its vineyards are planted mainly to Sangiovese, alongside Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Biancame, and Albanella. The brothers farm organically, using cover crops and organic treatments, although the estate is not certified. Wines are made with spontaneous fermentation and minimal sulfur at bottling. Alberto’s experience at Enoteca Pinchiorri complements the brothers’ hands-on approach, with the Adriatic terroir particularly suited to their Sangiovese, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot.
