Terre di Stefano Massone is a family-run Piedmont estate led directly by winemaker Stefano Massone. Based in Capriata d’Orba, it is rooted in the Gavi area, where Massone has worked with Cortese for 40 years, while also producing Barbera in Nizza Monferrato. The estate farms vineyards across several communes in the DOCG zone, drawing on both calcareous and clay soils to shape fruit character and help offset difficult weather. Farming avoids synthetic chemicals, with only sulfur and copper used in the vineyard, no insecticides, herbicides or fertilizers, and natural grass cover maintained to build humus. In the cellar, wines are made with care in a modern winery, with sulfur dioxide used very sparingly, reflecting Massone’s close, long-term connection to the land.
