Domaine de Mourchon

France

Domaine de Mourchon is an organic and biodynamic estate in the hills above Séguret in the Southern Rhône, with vineyards on steep limestone, clay and marl slopes between the Dentelles de Montmirail and Mont Ventoux. Its three distinct terroirs, reaching 350 metres, are planted mainly to Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault, alongside Viognier and Roussanne. Winemaker Sebastien Magnouac crafts terroir-driven, balanced blends with a distinctive signature. A hillside gravity-flow winery minimizes machinery and intervention; fermentation takes place in stainless steel, oak and ceramic vessels, often with wild yeast, followed by extended maturation in concrete and oak. The estate is consistently noted for its Côtes du Rhône.
