Domaine de Baronarques

France

Domaine de Baronarques is a single-estate property in Saint-Polycarpe in the Limoux area of Languedoc-Roussillon, France. Acquired in 1998 by Baroness Philippine de Rothschild and her sons, Philippe Sereys de Rothschild and Julien de Beaumarchais de Rothschild, the estate has since undergone major renovation of both the vineyards and winemaking facilities. Its history reaches back to ownership by the Abbey of Saint-Polycarpe before passing into private hands after the French Revolution. Winemaking emphasizes careful fruit handling: grapes are hand-harvested in small open baskets, sorted, gravity-fed into stainless-steel vats, and gently destemmed before fermentation. No specific sustainability certifications or practices are reported.
