Château Tour Carmail

France

Château Tour Carmail is a single-vineyard estate in Bordeaux, situated on a sloping, southerly facing site. The property was acquired by Bernard and Marie d’Halluin in 2008 from Olivier Sèze, who had owned it since 1982 and introduced pre-fermentation cold maceration. Sèze remains credited as the technical lead and winemaker. The vineyards average around 30 years of age, with a six-hectare block replanted in 2010 to Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. The estate’s approach is shaped by careful vineyard planting and traditional technical expertise; no sustainability certifications are specified.
