Cadre Wines is a family-owned California producer founded in 2020 by third-generation vintner John H. Niven and Lucy Niven, continuing a family connection to the Edna Valley and SLO Coast dating to 1973. Working with grapes from Paragon Vineyard, just a few miles from the Pacific, the winery focuses on Sauvignon Blanc, Albariño, and Grüner Veltliner. Cool maritime conditions, sea fog, wind, and volcanic and marine soils support slow ripening and naturally vibrant acidity. The wines are made in stainless steel to emphasize their precise, energetic, mineral-driven character. Cadre is SIP Certified Sustainable and has a particularly strong connection to Albariño, championing its cultivation in California since the mid-2000s.
