France

Caveau de Bacchus Lucien Aviet et fils is a family-owned Jura estate in Montigny-lès-Arsures, founded by Lucien Aviet in 1960 and now operated by his son Vincent, with the next generation also involved. Its old-vine vineyards are farmed sustainably and worked by hand, with natural cultivation, indigenous-yeast fermentation, limited sulphites and no additives. The estate produces red and white wines, notably Arbois reds from Ploussard and Trousseau, alongside Savagnin styles. Traditional élevage takes place in oak barrels and large foudres, with extended ageing for flor-aged Savagnins and vin jaune. Bottling is manual, and most of the production is sold directly to consumers, reinforcing its artisanal, family-run character.
