South Africa

Rall Wines is a small-batch producer in South Africa’s Western Cape, led by winemaker Donovan Rall, who oversees the brand’s operations. Grapes are sourced from more than 30 vineyards, including sites with granitic soils, and handled through nearly 60 separate fermentations and aging lots each harvest. The wines are naturally fermented and matured separately in seasoned French oak and concrete before a ten-month blend, reflecting a detailed, hands-on approach to winemaking. Rall was named South Africa’s Winemaker of the Year in 2025 and is a member of the Cape Winemakers Guild. No organic, biodynamic, or other sustainability certifications are noted.
