Cantina Paltrinieri is a fourth-generation family winery in the heart of Sorbara, Emilia-Romagna, founded in 1926 and led since 1998 by Alberto Paltrinieri and his wife Barbara Galassi. Specializing in Lambrusco di Sorbara DOC, the estate farms vineyards in the historic Cristo di Sorbara area between the Secchia and Panaro rivers. Farming is close to organic, with part of the vineyards certified organic and treatments limited to copper and sulfur where permitted. The winery combines tradition and technology in the cellar, and its deep family roots also extend to a small vinegar cellar producing traditional balsamic vinegar from its own grapes.
