Domaine Jean-Baptiste Adam is a family-owned Alsace estate in Ammerschwihr, with a winemaking history dating to 1614 and now managed by Jean-Baptiste Adam and his daughter Laure. Its vineyards have been farmed organically and biodynamically since 2003–04, with Demeter, Ecocert and AB certifications. The estate avoids synthetic pesticides and fertilizers, using natural preparations, horse-ploughing on steep slopes and hand harvesting. Wines are made with a terroir-focused, vintage-specific approach, including organically and biodynamically farmed Pur-Granite wines and selections from distinguished Alsace sites such as Kaefferkopf, Wineck-Schlossberg, Letzenberg and Marckrain. Aged in century-old oak barrels, the wines emphasize freshness, purity, finesse and authentic expression of grape variety and terroir.
