Due del Monte

Italy

Due del Monte is a privately held estate on the slopes of Monte Quarin in Collio, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, founded by two friends and entering a new phase with a new team in 2018. Its vineyards are managed with eco-sustainable practices, avoiding artificial chemical fertilizers, fungicides, and herbicides. Led by winemaker Miran Buzinel with oenologist Salvador Merino Lovera, the estate focuses on classic Collio white varieties and Merlot. Wines are low-yield and hand-harvested, fermented in stainless steel and oak; the whites are traditionally vinified and aged in barriques. The style emphasizes elegant, deep, persistent, full-bodied and velvety wines, shaped by Collio’s mineral-rich Ponca soils.
