Stirm Wine Co.

Founded and owned by winemaker Ryan Stirm, Stirm Wine Co. is based in Aromas, California. Its wines are made in a production facility using traditional redwood fermenters. While the operation originally farmed six acres in Santa Cruz, it now sources most of its grapes from San Benito County, particularly the Cienega Valley, and has begun planting its own Vermentino and Albariño vines. The first release, a 2013 Riesling, comprised 100 cases. The producer’s focus on distinctive California vineyards and traditional cellar practices gives the wines a clearly personal, hands-on character.
