Producer

La Despensa

Chile

La Despensa is a small, owner-run producer in Chile’s Colchagua Valley, working its own vineyards in Santa Ana and Pumanque. Matt Ridgway manages the vineyards, winemaking, marketing and a mini-hotel on the property, making the wines in-house and releasing very small lots. The grapes are organically farmed without formal certification, with dry-farming, minimal drip irrigation, hand-harvesting and sorting, and partial solar power. Its wines include limited pool blends and Cinsault releases, reflecting a hands-on, small-scale approach.
