Italy

Caprili is a family-owned estate in Montalcino, Tuscany, founded in 1965 by Alfo Bartolommei and still run by the Bartolommei family, with younger generations including Giacomo and Filippo now involved. Located in the southwest of Montalcino, the estate focuses largely on Sangiovese Grosso for Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino, alongside small plantings of other varieties. Farming is low-intervention, with only copper and sulphur used for disease control, and no formal sustainability certification is mentioned. Winemaking notes point to a natural approach, including natural fermentation for Rosso di Montalcino, with Giacomo Bartolommei overseeing production.
