Producer

Altavigna

Italy

Founded in 2008 by Campanian entrepreneur and viticulturist Emanuele Sepe, Altavigna is rooted in Irpinia, where vineyards lie on the calcareous-clay hills between 400 and 700 metres along the Calore river. The family continues Sepe’s work, with Gaetano and Andrea Sepe involved in the estate and their brother Luigi providing oenological supervision. Harvesting is manual, while the Terra Mater project represents an evolving commitment to respecting the history and products of the territory. Altavigna emphasizes artisanal winemaking, including spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and bottling without clarification or filtration, aiming to express the character of its terroir.
