Domaine des Boissières

France

Domaine des Boissières is a small hillside estate in the Marcillac AOC of France’s Sud-Ouest, founded in 2017 by vigneron Marc Fraysse after he inherited the family vineyard from his maternal great-grandfather. Fraysse is both owner and winemaker, overseeing the estate’s wines. The steep, terraced vineyards are farmed by hand using organic and biodynamic practices, including horse-drawn plowing and treatments made from herbal teas and mineral extracts; formal certifications are pending. The vines grow across varied limestone-clay, marl, sandstone and red clay soils at elevations of 350–500 metres.
