Manuel Antonio de la Riva

Spain

Manuel Antonio de la Riva is a revived historic Jerez label, originally founded in 1858 and reclaimed in 2016/2017 by Willy Pérez and Ramiro Ibáñez after years under Domecq and later Beam International. Based in the Sherry Triangle, the project draws on historic pagos including Macharnudo, Balbaína Alta and Miraflores Baja, with albariza soils that shape styles from saline and elegant to richer, more powerful expressions. Farming is organic, though no certification is noted. Pérez and Ibáñez run the winery as an almacenista-style, boutique project focused on old vines, single-plot wines, oxidative sherries, flor fermentation and long cask aging, continuing a lineage linked to former Domecq winemaker Luis Pérez.
