Maison Audebert et Fils

France

Maison Audebert et Fils is a family-run Loire Valley winery in Bourgueil, with winemaking passed from father to son since 1839. The estate farms more than 40 hectares across Bourgueil, Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil, and Chinon, with vineyards spanning sands, gravels, siliceous clay, clay-limestone, and tuffeau. Vinification and aging take place at two Bourgueil sites, including Le Grand Clos, a troglodytic cellar in the vineyards. Fermentation and maceration last two to three weeks depending on the vintage, using indigenous yeasts and bacteria. The estate emphasizes respect for terroir and the expression of each vintage, highlighting the character of individual grape varieties and sites.
