Poggio delle Baccanti

Italy

Poggio delle Baccanti is a three-generation family winery of the La Mura family in Sant’Antonio Abate, near Naples in Campania, operating under Tenuta Santa Lucia. Its vineyards lie on volcanic soils near Mount Vesuvius and are certified organic, with dry-farmed, sustainable cultivation. Run by brothers Raffaele and Paolo La Mura alongside their cousins Giovanni and Raffaele, the estate follows a low-intervention approach with spontaneous fermentations, native yeasts, minimal sulfur, and unfiltered bottling; some wines also age in old acacia barrels. The focus is on indigenous Campanian varieties, including a lightly sparkling Gragnano Rosso Frizzante.
